Pre-treatment checklist:
If you have conditions such as Diabetes, poor circulation, or muscular/ neurological disorders please consult with your primary care provider prior to treatment.
If you take medications such as aspirin, ibuprophen, prescription blood thinners, vitamin E supplements, or ginkgo biloba, please consult with your primary care provider about stopping these medications for at least 72 hours prior to being injected. (They will cause increased risk of bruising and bleeding at the site of injection).
Avoid alcohol and smoking for at least 1 week prior to the procedure.
Post-treatment checklist:
Apply cold gel packs/ ice to the treatment area to reduce discomfort and to decrease redness, swelling, and risk of bruising. This can be done a few times a day for 2-3 days.
Do not massage or rub the treated area(s) for 2 weeks after injection. No facials or aggressive facial procedures for 2 weeks.
It is advised that you do not exercise or sweat profusely for 2-3 days after your treatment.
Fillers/Injectables
Pre-treatment checklist:

Notify your provider if you have a history of cold sores or have an allergy to local anesthetics.
Post-treatment checklist:
Apply cold gel packs/ ice to the treatment area to reduce discomfort and to decrease redness, swelling, and risk of bruising. This can be done a few times a day for 2-3 days.
Do not massage or rub the treated area(s) for 2 weeks after injection. No facials or aggressive facial procedures for 2 weeks.

Do not apply makeup to the treated area for 24 hours after the procedure.
If bruising occurs, you may apply topical Arnica cream or Vitamin K cream.
I²PL (Intense Pulsed Light)
Pre-treatment checklist:
Your skin should be clean and dry prior to treatment. Remove or omit application of any skin care products on the day of your treatment.
AVOID THE SUN and tanning beds! The area treated should not be exposed to sun 4-6 weeks prior to treatment. Use of a daily sun block is advised.
Avoid use of tanning creams, spray tans, or any type of temporary pigmented creams for 3 weeks prior to treatment.
Do not smoke for at least 4 hours prior to your treatment.
Treatment areas having dark hair will need to be shaved prior to treatment.
Notify your provider if you are taking high doses of iron (you will have an increased risk of hyperpigmentation).
Notify your provider if you have used Accutane within 6 months of your treatment.
Discontinue use of photosensitizing agents (such as Tretinoin or hydroquinone) for 3-5 days prior to treatment.
Post-treatment checklist:
Cold gel packs/ ice can be applied after a treatment to reduce discomfort.
Use of aloe, moisturizers, topical antioxidants, and a daily broad spectrum sun block (minimum of 30 SPF) is advised after treatment.
Avoid the sun completely after your treatment for at least 3-4 weeks to reduce hyperpigmentation.
Within minutes after the procedure, your pigmented lesions will become slightly darker (like cookie crumbs). Over a period of about 1 week they will slough off on their own. Do not pick lesions off or use aggressive products after treatment.
Avoid heat sources such as saunas, hot tubs, hot showers/ baths, etc. for a few days.
Laser Hair Removal
Pre-treatment checklist:
Your skin should be clean and dry prior to treatment. Remove or omit application of any skin care products on the day of your treatment.

Do not scratch treated areas. You may apply a cold wet cloth if itching occurs.
Avoid the sun completely after your treatment for at least 3-4 weeks to reduce hyperpigmentation.
Avoid heat sources such as saunas, hot tubs, hot showers/ baths, etc. for a few days.
After your treatment, your hair will appear stunted in growth. In a few days the hair will appear to be growing slowly (this is your body pushing the dead hair out). Shave and/ or exfoliate the treated area. This phase may take up to 2 weeks, at which time you will be hair free for the next 2-3 weeks. At approximately the 4 week mark, you will notice regrowth. The area should be treated within 1 week of seeing active growth.
Ionithermie
Pre-treatment checklist:
Avoid alcohol for 24 hours prior to your treatment.
Avoid caffeine the day of your treatment.
Do not shave the day of your treatment (this may cause irritation in the treated area).
Do not schedule a session during the first few days of your menstrual cycle (you may be more sensitive during this time).
Notify your provider if you have any history of kidney, liver disease, diabetes, epilepsy, MS, blood clots, cancer, recent pregnancy, or are currently breast-feeding.
Notify your provider if you have a pacemaker or copper IUD.
Ionithermie is not advised if you have undergone a major surgery within the past 3 months.
Post-treatment checklist:
Stay well hydrated! Drink plenty of fluids after your treatment.
Do not swim or shower immediately after your session.
Avoid saunas, tanning beds, and heavy exercise for 24 hours.
Slight fatigue, headache, and mild dizziness are common immediately post treatment. Fluids with electrolytes may decrease the incidence or severity of these symptoms.
Dermaplaning
Pre-treatment checklist:
Your skin will be more sensitive after the Dermaplaning process. Please
discontinue the use of all products containing Glycolic acid, Salicylic
acid, Retinol, Retin A, Hydroquinone, or exfoliating scrubs 2-4 days before
and after treatment. Clients should not wax, Nair, or have any form of
hair removal 2-4 before and after treatment. Treated area(s) will be more
susceptible to sun damage. It is necessary to use a daily sun block with
an SPF of 30 or higher. Please refrain from extended sun exposure one
week before and after treatment.
Post-treatment checklist:
Clients may experience mild stinging post treatment due to the exfoliation
process. This tends to resolve quickly but may persist for up to 24 hours.
Tylenol may be taken if needed. Use of hydrating moisturizers is highly
advised for up to a week after the procedure.
Clients may experience a reddish tone on the area(s) post treatment.
Redness usually subsides within 24 hours. If redness continues, client
may apply a cold compress over the area.
